Mouldex Ltd Sustainability Policy 2025–2026
Mouldex Ltd is committed to embedding sustainability across our operations and reducing our environmental impact through pro-active carbon reduction measures. We aim to achieve continual improvement by integrating sustainable practices into our workplace culture, service delivery, and supply chain.
Our Objectives:
We will manage environmental issues responsibly, encouraging staff, clients, customers, and suppliers to minimise their environmental impact through informed choices and behaviours.
Scope 1: Direct Emissions
- Electric Vehicles: Encouraging the use of electric vehicles in the fleet by implementing several charging points around the headquarters and adding four electric vehicles to the fleet.
- Vehicle Fleet: Reducing carbon emissions within the vehicle fleet by purchasing new cars with lower carbon emissions (minimum Euro 6) and hybrid vehicles.
- Fleet Emissions Monitoring: Implementing GPS tracking across the fleet with linked fuel cards to monitor driving behaviour and fuel efficiency. Weekly reporting will highlight opportunities for carbon reduction through safer and more efficient driving.
- Carpooling: Promoting carpooling throughout the business.
Scope 2: Indirect Emissions from Purchased Energy
- Energy Consumption: Implementing LED lighting units and responsive lighting, installing solar panels, and ensuring all hot water and heating systems are electric.
- Virtual Meetings: Promoting “Microsoft Teams” as the preferred meeting format to reduce the need for travel and thus the energy consumption associated with it.
Scope 3: Other Indirect Emissions
- Supplier Evaluation: Evaluating the environmental performance of suppliers and contractors, encouraging them to minimise negative impacts, and prioritising purchasing from suppliers with robust sustainability policies, especially those using recyclable materials.
- On-Site Initiatives: Maintaining food waste recycling and composting and creating a wildlife garden.
- Community Engagement: Engaging with the local community through “Love where you live” events, such as litter picks throughout the year.
- Route Planning: Taking a more considered approach to route planning for field staff, ensuring jobs are batched into regions where possible.
- Workplace Culture: Actively promoting a culture of sustainability in the workplace, empowering team members to develop new ideas and initiatives.
- ESG Leadership: Introducing an Environmental & Social Governance (ESG) Lead to drive business initiatives on reducing carbon-neutral initiatives.
- Carbon Offsetting: Exploring ways to offset carbon emissions.
- Cycle to Work Scheme: Initiating a cycle-to-work scheme and a reward system for fitness tracking through private healthcare.
